Proof Alliance
Fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASDs) affect 1 in 20 kids. The Proof Alliance wants to bring that number to zero. Yet a lot of folks have opinions on the safe amount of alcohol one can have during pregnancy. The real answer from the CDC themselves is “none.” But a quick google search reveals that many leading media outlets publish wrong and even dangerous advice. So we had kids who actually have FASD read some of these articles. Then counter with them with the facts.

Wh.
What better way to spread the message on the dangers of drinking during pregnancy than at a liquor store? Risky? Absolutely. But we didn’t want to shame or belittle. Instead, we want to start a conversation. So we did what any self-respecting FASD-awareness organization does: slap our message all over a wine bag.
